First report card and parent/teacher conference

> Archer received his first report card recently and we had our very first parent/teacher conference! I was a little nervous about what his teacher would say...
>
> So for the "good":
> Archer has great verbal skills and a great memory. He's social and plays well with others. He has pretty good coordination. The potty training is getting better. His teacher indicated he's also reading simple books, sounding out words and his favorite thing to do at school is to work on a puzzle putting together 3 letter words.
>
> For the "needs work":
> He really needs work with his coloring, beading/stringing, cutting and tracing. He's apparently good at gluing though! Funny that he's really not into art projects at school, especially considering that his dad is an artist! He also needs to work on his self help skills like putting on his jacket, taking his shoes on and off, etc. So we will be working on his fine motor skills and self-help skills!
>
> But all in all, a pleasant first parent/teacher conference! Good work Archer! His teacher also gave us a preview as to where he'll go once he is fully potty trained (hoping in the next couple of months or so!). Looks like he'll be moved up to a new, more challenging class that is taught in English, Spanish and German! And he'll have homework! Whoa, I really didn't think I'd see homework at this age!
