18 months old!

A little late but Ronan is 18 months old!
He is 30lbs 8oz and 33.5 inches tall.
He is very spirited and passionate. He absolutely LOVES being outside, LOVES playing with anything with wheels especially cars, and he LOVES to eat! He is such a boy's boy!
He can say about a dozen words, and lately seems to pick up on new ones everyday. His language comprehension is great. He also speaks his own language and will go on and on discussing things that are very important to him(if only we understood!). He loves music and singing.
Ronan has also started the toddler program at the same school as Archer and so far has befriended another little boy named Henry.

It's been a while

Wow! I haven't posted here in a while! Well we are back from China! It was an adventurous two months.
And I think we are all mostly adjusted to life in the US. Archer is finishing out his pre-k program and will be "graduating" in June. Ronan turned 18 months old and has started his toddler program.
Here are a few pictures from China; Ronan in his toddler group driving a car (he absolutely LOVES anything to do with cars); Archer's first day back at school. Apparently all the girls were waiting for his return! Lol! One mother of one of the girls commented to me,"The boyfriend is back!"

Beijing Babies

We are in Beijing for the next two months for Bill's work. We've completed our first week here. The boys experienced their first international flight and first snow and we have settled into a nice apartment in the hutong near the Forbidden City.
It has been challenging with the weather, pollution and language barriers. But we look forward to seeing the sights and exploring the city!

Hawaii RO

Ro's first trip to Hawaii! The last picture is Ronan with the nanny that we hired through Aloha Sitters. They come out to your hotel and watch your kids! Our nanny's name was Mary. She was fantastic! If ever on Oahu, with kids, hire them to help out. They are great!

Halloween!

Ronan was a dragon/dino/alligator of some sort--Nondescript reptilian costume. And Archer was Mike from Monsters University! Ronan ventured out trick-or-treating for the first time. He enjoyed it. But he seemed more interested in trying to get into people's houses than in the candy!

Archer also enjoyed trick-or-treating. He had fun giving out candy to trick-or- treaters that came to our door as well, saying to them, "Great costume!" And encouraging the little toddlers to get some candy...Seriously, who is this kid?!?

Stats

I forgot to post the boys' stats from their recent well-baby/child doctor's appointments.
Ronan is 26 lbs 4 oz. and 31.5 tall. For weight-for-length percentiles, Ronan is off the charts!
Archer is 40 lbs and 41 inches tall. 50% in weight and 90% in height.

4 years old!

4 years old today! Wow! Celebrated with all things planets/solar system/ universe! Happy birthday Archer!

11 months old!

A friend of mine called Ronan "baby linebacker". That's pretty accurate.

Ronan is 11 months old today. He's been walking more and more in the past week. Today he took 7 steps! He's got 8 teeth. He's very chatty and likes to yell! He's a loud baby!

First day of Pre-K!

Archer's first day of pre-k was today. He's still at the same school though, just graduated up. He was very excited to be starting pre-k in a new classroom and with a new teacher.

I did speak with Archer's old preschool teacher today and she said that she would miss him: his "challenging" nature (in a good way of course!) and his constant questions. I think this was just code for: he's sometimes difficult, wears you out and knows how to work the system. apparently he has manipulated the nap schedule at school so he doesn't have to take a nap.

His new teacher better be ready!

Little Reader

Will Ronan be an early reader like Archer? He's always very focused on his books and lately has been properly orienting his books. Ones that are upside down, he turns right side up. So we shall see...

10 months old!

Ronan is 10 months old today! He is 25 lbs 7 oz. and he weighs more than his brother did at a year old!

4th of July AND 9 months old!

Ronan is 9 months old today! He's been crawling and pulling up and has just started cruising. He's about 25 pounds now.

And Fourth of July was spent in the backyard. Archer decided to put his lounge chair in the kiddie pool. Ahhhh...that's the life!

And Penny decided to get festive too!
