We were too exhausted this year to make the drive to the Pauley family dinner :(, as the passed out picture can attest to. We've been so sleep deprived lately. Having two kids is really kicking our butts! So to spare ourselves from further exhaustion, we just had thanksgiving locally. Dinner was with the Choi family and we topped off the weekend with Christmas tree shopping.
Bill pointed out that when we went tree shopping with Archer for his first Christmas, he was all bundled up. I reminded Bill (as I was reminded by our blog) that it was about 40 degrees that year and hailing.
This year for Ronan's first Christmas, we've had more mild weather. It has actually been quite warm. Archer walks out of the house and asks me if it is "summer winter" and I respond: "No, it's just global climate change." So, Ronan was just wearing light clothing and had a blanket to keep him warm for tree shopping. Anyways, we got our tree and have some decorating to do this week...wow, I can't believe we are already fully into holiday mode!
Oh and did I mention that 7 week old Ronan is now HUGE! At an unofficial weigh-in about two weeks ago, he was 13 pounds. He's graduated to size 2 diapers already and is in size 3-6 month clothing. He goes in for his 2 month doctor's appointment next week, so we shall see how much he weighs-in at then...He's also become so much more interactive, has eye contact, he's smiling and laughing(with no sound). We can start to see his funny little personality coming through!
And just a note, I write this post at 3 in the morning, in between feedings. That should account for any ramblings or grammatical errors...
