Our little baby is all grown up! Happy to report that Archer has taken his first steps! He did it last night and was very excited about it! He's been taking 2-3 steps on his own this past month, but then he seems to realize that he's walking, and gets a little scared and will sit back down. Last night, he was cruising around the house really fast, and then all of a sudden took about 5 steps on his own to get to Bill! He loved it!
But, Archer also has a bout of baby acne (you can't really tell from the pictures, I guess it's not that bad) and ringworm! Don't worry, he's no longer contagious! Ugh! Growing pains...
I was sold a bunch of lies by iPhone 4 commercials! No, not the antenna, I mean walking babies! I always thought these "milestones" were somehow definitive, as in "our baby walked for the first time today". Archer's been taking one or two steps here and there for a couple of weeks now; yesterday he took 5 steps. It seems there's no clear line between crawling and walking. Nor between talking and babbling. But I still hope for a clear line between potty trained and not. Too much to hope for? Make daddy proud again, Archer!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, that is hilarious, Bill. We feel the same way about "firsts". And by the time we catch it on camera it's usually a repeat performance :). Auntie Pachi is also proud of you, Archer!! Sorry about those ringworms, that does NOT sound pleasant.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, potty training will be the same blurry "milestone" too. That is why they invented those Pull-ups, fake underwear diapers. To catch all those accidents!
ReplyDeletePachi, ringworm is a midly contagious fungal rash. And yes, it is not pleasant. But archer didnt even seem to notice. Sucked for us though, we had to wash EVERYTHING!
